Steve is a co-founder of Bridge City Capital. He is also a portfolio manager and research analyst, with primary research responsibility for the industrials sector, and shared responsibility for the health care sector.

Steve has been in the investment industry and in the small cap growth asset class since 1978.   Prior to co-founding Bridge City Capital, Steve spent 11 years at Mazama Capital Management, Inc., an institutional asset management firm, working as the director of research, portfolio manager and research analyst. Steve also spent 13 years managing portfolios, client relationships and staff at Capital Trust Company and was the chief investment officer of CTC of the Pacific Northwest.

Steve received a BS degree from Oregon State University.

Steve has two sons and when he’s not busy attending their athletic events he enjoys the great outdoors, riding his bike, golfing and fishing.

Alex co-founded Bridge City Capital, LLC in 2008. As President and co-founder, Alex is responsible for oversight of the firm including the firm’s finances, operations and long-term planning. He is also a portfolio manager/research analyst focusing on technology, health care and consumer discretionary companies.

Alex has been in the investment industry since 1998 and focused on the small cap asset class since 2001. Prior to co-founding Bridge City Capital, Alex spent 7 years as a research analyst at Mazama Capital Management, Inc., an institutional asset management firm, eventually managing the technology sector for multiple investment strategies. Alex was also a research analyst at Black & Company/First Security Van Kasper.

Alex received a B.S. degree from Linfield College and a MBA degree from Portland State University.

Alex is married with two sons. He enjoys watching his boys participate in sports and coaching basketball and soccer teams. Alex likes to play golf when time allows.

Jim has been in the investment industry since 1991 and focused on the small cap asset class since 1995. Prior to joining Bridge City Capital, Jim enjoyed an over two-decade career as a senior bank examiner and sell-side analyst. He has also served on numerous Boards and briefly wrote a column for a financial services website.

Jim received his B.S. degree from the University of Oregon and received an MBA, with honors, from the University of Oregon in Finance and Accounting.

He has been married for 42 years and has two daughters. He enjoys traveling the world, the Oregon Coast and is a runner.

Sara joined Bridge City Capital, LLC in 2020. Sara is a portfolio manager and research analyst providing fundamental company research and analysis across economic sectors. Sara has been in the investment industry since 2003. Prior to joining Bridge City Capital in 2020, she was a senior equity analyst at McAdams Wright Ragen/Robert W. Baird & Co. where she led coverage of financials and consumer lifestyle companies. She also worked in various corporate finance roles at Starbucks and Weyerhaeuser and started her career at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. Sara has served on the Board of Directors for several non-profit organizations.

Sara received a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a CFA charterholder.

Sara and her family enjoy exploring the outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Brant joined Bridge City Capital, LLC in 2021. Brant is a portfolio manager and research analyst providing fundamental company research and analysis across economic sectors. Brant has been in the investment industry since 1987. Immediately prior to joining Bridge City Capital, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Bonanza Creek Energy and has also held leadership roles with other publicly traded energy companies. Prior to his corporate roles, he had increasing responsibility in institutional portfolio management for more than two decades at several investment management firms, including Invesco Ltd. and Colorado Public Employers Retirement Association. Brant has served on several boards and is currently acting Audit Chair for Syrcuit Energy Solutions, a privately held solar development company.

Brant received an M.B.A. from the University of Denver and a B.S from Colorado State University and is a CFA charterholder.

Director, Vice President of Marketing & Client Service

David joined Bridge City Capital, LLC in 2010. As a relationship manager, David leads marketing and business development efforts with institutional clients and intermediaries across the country. David has been focused on financial communications and marketing since 1995. Prior to joining Bridge City Capital, David was Director of Operations/Brand Management for Columbia Sportswear in Geneva, Switzerland, where he directed integrated “go-to-market” strategies for Columbia’s EMEA region. He began his career in public accounting. He enjoyed a 12 year career in financial marketing and communications as a consultant and the director of investor relations for Columbia Sportswear and several other small cap companies. David began his career in public accounting doing tax compliance and financial planning for individuals and corporations.

David received a B.S. degree from Brigham Young University.

David and his wife, Kathy, have been married since 1986 and are the parents of 4 children.

Chief Compliance Officer, Vice President of Operations

As chief compliance officer and vice president of operations, Shannon is responsible for building and managing the firm’s compliance program. In addition to compliance, Shannon works closely with Alex Woodward to build and strengthen the firm’s infrastructure. Shannon is also responsible for trade operations and account reconciliation. Shannon has been in the investment industry since 2000 and focused on compliance since 2002.  Prior to joining Bridge City Capital,  Shannon spent 13 years at Mazama Capital Management, Inc., an institutional asset management firm, building and eventually, as chief compliance officer, managing the compliance program.  She also worked as a compliance analyst for Morley Financial Services, focusing primarily on the annual compliance program review, marketing and advertising compliance, code of ethics oversight, third party vendor oversight and business continuity.

Shannon has been in the investment industry since 2000 and focused on compliance since 2002. Prior to joining Bridge City Capital, LLC, Shannon spent 13 years at Mazama Capital Management, Inc., an institutional asset management firm, building and eventually, as chief compliance officer, managing the compliance program. She also worked as a compliance analyst at Morley Financial Services, focusing primarily on annual compliance program review, marketing and advertising compliance, code of ethics oversight, third party vendor oversight, and business continuity. She is a certified compliance specialist, National Regulatory Services, and a current member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals and the Greater Portland Compliance Association.

Shannon is married with a son and daughter.  She is a steering committee member for her local Eco-School Network and is a member of her children’s school Green Team. When she’s not cheering on her children at their extra-curricular activities she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family skiing, hiking or at the Oregon Coast.
